Every once and a while, I have a peculiar feeling. You know the one - when you can't shake the sensation that someone is watching you. Usually, it's scary. Usually, you feel exposed and alert and vulnerable. However, that sensation, or at least the thought of that sensation, can have a positive impact in the way we interact with our world and the ripples we send out to the world. Bear with me for a moment. Pandora to the rescue I enjoy a wide repertoire of music – from opera to metal to folk and everything in between (except country – unless it’s Garth or from the soundtrack to Hope Floats. Don’t judge). Every night before bed I listen to my Pandora Thumbprint station, in which Continue Reading
The Heart Wants What it Wants: Update
If you read through the emotional word-vomit I posted a couple of weeks ago, you'll know: I accidentally adopted another stray cat. Oops. the cat was deemed healthy, was neutered, and was named Mr. Mac A. Doodle (Mac). he developed two masses under the skin on his leg that did not seem typical for an injury or for post-vaccination bumps. my wonderful vet was concerned they might be a rare form of cancer that develops at injection sites. such cancer could arise quickly most likely if feline leukemia virus was present. sometimes FeLV tests can show a false-negative. we decided to try antibiotics just in case, but the lumps got a bit larger before returning to their Continue Reading

HealthyWager Weight Loss: One Way to Love Yourself Better
One of the purposes of Show More Love is to convince people to show more love to themselves and to give them tools and strategies to help them succeed in loving themselves more and better. The challenge I’m introducing today is a biggie, and it is one about which I am, frankly, pretty nervous. Why? Because a good way to show love for yourself is by having a healthy lifestyle which includes weight loss if needed, and I ain't lovin' myself very well. I've known for a long time that I need to lose significant weight, and weight loss is hard. However, I may have finally found something to motivate even me! So, if you survived holidays with the family, are suffering from post-holiday Continue Reading
